out of the system —
punished, abandoned
I was blessed to follow
the pathways of poetry

Two decades have passed
since the end of war
but the breeze
cannot blow away
this hellish heat

This great tit
that pecks winter crumbs
come from death
as your messenger – this morning
you didn't want to wake up*
